German Historic Museum
The museum library is housed in a historical building, the Zeughaus, in Berlin. As parts of this building originally date from 1695 extremely high demands were placed on the load bearing capacity of the floors when designing the depository.
The Zeughaus is the oldest building located on the avenue Unter den Linden. It is one of most beautiful secular buildings of the Baroque period in northern Germany and owes its special place in art history to the high quality of its sculptural works.
In the museum library 5,000 running metres of Sysco® Library shelving is installed. Pull-out shelves and fold-away tables form part of the solution to provide optimal user-friendliness.
With Sysco® library shelving a high degree of dimensional flexibility is offered to ensure the optimum solution is designed for these rooms and for their purpose.
